Truck Overturns On Eastbound Turner Turnpike

Emergency crews rushed to the scene after a pickup truck lost control and overturned Monday afternoon while traveling eastbound on the Turner Turnpike near Midwest Boulevard.

The accident happened around 1:30 p.m. between the Interstate 35 and Luther exits. A pickup truck hauling a trailer swerved off the turnpike and crashed onto the side of the road. The truck and the trailer overturned, spilling the driver's personal belongings.

No one was seriously hurt in the crash. It's not known why the driver lost control.

Traffic is still moving, although slowly, along the turnpike.
