Organization Donates Semi Full Of Supplies To Moore Students

On Tuesday, the Kids In Need Foundation donated 2,000 backpacks filled with back to school essentials.

As the city of Moore continues to recover from the devastating tornado, several students are getting help with supplies.

On Tuesday, the Kids In Need Foundation donated 2,000 backpacks filled with back to school essentials.

An entire semi was packed with supplies teachers say the students will need.

"Inside of the backpack, there are notebooks and erasers and glue. Things that, you know, parents are maybe not going to have the money for right now because of them being displaced from the tornado and having to move," said Nikki McCurtain, Plaza Towers teacher. "It's just one less thing they have to worry about, and one less thing that we have to worry about too."

Class in Moore officially begins on Friday.
