All eastbound and westbound lanes on Interstate 40 in west Oklahoma City have reopened following two accidents that slowed the morning commute Thursday.
The first accident occurred around 7:45 a.m. when a semi-truck driver lost control while driving east on I-40. The driver crashed near Council Road, and broke through the median. The accident has shut down lanes heading both east and west.
A second accident involving a motorcycle happened just a few minutes later at I-40 and Mustang Road. It was minor and cleaned up quickly.
