A small earthquake was recorded near the town of Boley, Okla., Sunday afternoon.
The 2.7 magnitude quake struck just after 3 p.m. at a depth of three miles.
The epicenter was located three miles southwest of Boley, 23 miles east, northeast of Shawnee and 55 miles east of the Oklahoma City metro.
No damage or injuries resulted from this earthquake.
According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), quakes with magnitudes from 2.5 to 3 are generally the smallest ones felt by humans.
