A man drowned Wednesday evening at Lake Thunderbird near the Little Axe area, after his boat slipped off a ramp.
It happened just before 6 p.m. at the Little Axe boat ramp on Lake Thunderbird.
According to police, the, victim's wife called 911 to report that her husband was unloading the boat when it slipped off the ramp. The 58-year-old victim tried to swim out to where the boat had drifted, but could not make it.
Police say a family member tried to rescue the victim, but turned back because the water was too cold.
The identity of the victim has not been released. His body was pulled form the water at around 7:15 p.m.
