First determine the asking price. Compare it with others on the market, then bump up the figure a few hundred dollars to allow wiggle room during negotiating.
Give it curb appeal. Have the car detailed inside and out. Take a lot of pictures if you plan to post an ad online or in the paper.
Secure the payment before handing over the keys and title. If the buyer pays with a check, go to the bank together to cash it to make sure the money is in their account.
We may choose to sell or trade in our car to a dealer and we do have rights.
