A Moore teenager accidentally captured his moment of heroism on camera while he sifted through debris at Plaza Towers Elementary in search of trapped students and faculty.
Nineteen-year-old Jacob Lyles took a cell phone video as the tornado started barreling down on his neighborhood. What happened next he says was like a blur.
Jacob got into a neighbor's underground storm cellar and when he got out, everything was destroyed.
Jacob went house to house to try to rescue people stuck in the rubble. He then made it to Plaza Tower Elementary, a school he attended himself, to see if he could help find any children. That's when his cell phone started recording in his pocket.
