The City of McLoud is now on the lookout for an arsonist.
Firefighters responded to five suspicious fires in April and May in the 600 block of Pottawatomie road in McLoud.
The last fire May 6th destroyed an abandoned home.
The McLoud Fire Marshall has now determined all five of the fires were intentionally set.
"It's probably the same person and maybe someone from that same area," says McLoud Fire Marshall Todd Beesley.
Beesley says there is a person of interest in the case.
Meanwhile, neighbors are nervous and are preparing in case another fire sparks.
"They're doing it to get satisfaction in their brain," says Chris McGrath about whoever is sparking the fires.
McGrath packed a box of important papers after one of the fires got very close to his home.
If you have information about these fires, you are asked to call the McLoud Fire Department at 964-4005.
