OKLAHOMA CITY -- It's a mild morning across the state for July's standards, 50s, 60s and a few 70s are being reported.
Skies are partly cloudy with light Northeast winds 5-15mph. A few showers are ongoing in the Red River area.
Later on Thursday, again, not too bad. It will be partly cloudy and warm with upper 80s. The winds stay northeasterly 10-15mph and the UV index is a 10 out of 10.
There is a chance for showers and thunderstorms in west and southwest Oklahoma later on Thursday. Thursday night, it will be partly cloudy and mild with the overnight low in the upper 60s.
Your 4th of July forecast looks like this…partly cloudy and hot with a high near 80 degrees. Southerly winds 10-20mph will be the norm and the UV index a 10 out of 10. So if you are going out to some of the parade activities tomorrow, you might take the sunscreen and extra water.
If you stay out past dark for the fireworks, take the mosquito spray. Weather for your 4th of July will be great and the rest of your three day weekend will be hot, but enjoyable. Hotter temperatures ahead in the 9 day forecast.
