OKLAHOMA CITY -- A clear and mild morning will quickly change into a sunny and hot forecast on Monday.
Most of the state is starting out in the mid 70s Monday morning with clear skies and southerly winds about 10-15mph.
Later on Monday, the sun will be out in full force and we quickly race up to just under 100 degrees. The metro will level out at 98 with parts of the western regions going into the low 100s.
Oklahoma City will see our highest temperature this year. You have to go back to May 4-5 to even get close when we were 97 degrees.
The UV index is topped out at a 10 out of 10.
Monday night, it will be hot early with the overnight low in the mid 70s. Tuesday will bring out a slight chance for rain. Wednesday, even better for rain chances. Otherwise, we are in July and the heat will start to build in. Stay cool.
