OKLAHOMA CITY -- Heavy thunderstorms are ongoing Wednesday morning in a line from northwest Oklahoma through the metro area and down into southeastern Oklahoma.
Heavy rains, street flooding and heavy lightning can be expected from these storms.
The thunderstorm activity will continue through much of the morning . Later on Wednesday, it will be hot with temperatures near 94 degrees in the afternoon for central Oklahoma, and upper 90s out west.
There will be a slight chance for thunderstorms Wednesday evening as well.
Thursday through the weekend we will heat back up with Saturday and Sunday reaching 100 degrees for the first time this year for Oklahoma City.
