Tonight, Oklahoma City police are looking for a man who ransacked a metro business and took off with computers.

He targeted the Janke Products machine shop, located on S.E. 37th Street near Interstate 35, which is a business at the end of a dead end street.

Nothing stopped him from leaving behind a path of destruction. Not the locks, not the alarm, not even the guard dog.

Surveillance cameras at Janke Products captured the thief on Sunday, as he pulled up outside the business in a white, Chevy Trailblazer with a missing front grill.

The video shows the suspect as he runs in and goes straight for the monitor and CPU, but instead of just unplugging them, he yanks them out of the wall.

“He's a total idiot, an absolute idiot,“ Ron Roberts, owner of Janke Products, said.

He can't believe how brazen the thief was.

“Broad daylight, cameras on everything on here,” said Roberts. “And this idiot busted the doors down to get nothing!”

On the video, you see how he even drops the computer he was taking on the floor. He then runs through the business checking locked doors, looking for anything else he can get his hands on.

“He can't sell it. He can't do anything with it,” said Roberts. “It’s worthless! What he got, the computers on there is nothing compared to the damage he did to the building.”

Roberts says this guy is not a former employee and none of his workers recognize the guy or his car.

Police say the video shows the man does have a distinctive tattoo.

“There does appear to be a significant size tattoo on his right ankle in the inside of his right ankle,” Sgt. Jennifer Wardlow, with the Oklahoma City Police Department, said.

New windows are now going in at the business. The computers have all been replaced, and the mess has been cleaned up. Roberts just hopes police catch the thief.

“We don’t know why he just targeted us,” said Roberts. “I’ll do everything I can to throw him in jail.”

Roberts says they even plan to put bars on the windows as an extra deterrent, hoping it will keep this crook and others from breaking in again.

If you have any information on who this person is, call Oklahoma City Crime Stoppers at 235-7300.
