Authorities: Driver Flees After Crashing Into Tree In Spencer

A driver reportedly ran away from the scene after crashing into a tree in Spencer.

Emergency crews responded to the report of a rollover crash Friday morning at N.E. 50th and Hiwassee. According to authorities, a vehicle ran off the roadway and rolled over before hitting a tree.

It is unclear when the crash happened. But authorities said the driver got out of the vehicle and fled the scene before police arrived.

Police are now looking for that driver. No descriptions are available at this time.
