An unusual case of vandalism in Chickasha has police investigating, and the weapon and people involved might surprise you. The felony case involves breakfast food and children of two city officials.
“This was kind of like making breakfast food on your pickup truck,” Chickasha Police Lt. Shanon McClain said.
It's a felony, no matter who does. Police got the vandalism call July 23, and when they got on scene, they discovered the Chickasha mayor’s son’s truck covered in eggs, Bisquick pancake mix and syrup.
It was parked in the driveway, and the owner believes he knows who did it, thanks to Twitter.
“That pretty much made it easy to determine,” McClain said.
The police report states someone posted on Twitter, "We made you breakfast you mother ******...." That Twitter account belongs to the daughter of the Chickasha Police Chief, and she "admitted to her actions" and told police the mayor's son "had been mean towards her and that is why she did this."
The report states she didn't act alone though. Two other young women were also involved. At the scene, the trio left behind a Walmart receipt for eggs, pancake mix and syrup which lead officers to the store to make one last confirmation.
“The officer, in his follow up investigation, went to Walmart and obtained the video,” said McClain. “It did appear to match the person who authored the tweets.”
Police say vandalism is a felony if the damages are more than $1,000. In this case, it totals more than $4,000 and has been turned over to the district attorney's office for consideration of charges.
No arrests have been made.
