Bicyclist Struck By Vehicle In Del City

Police are on the scene of an accident involving a person on a bike hit by a car in Del City, Monday night.

Emergency crews were called to the scene near SE 29th St. and Bryant Ave.

According to police, the bicyclist was heading west on SE 29th St., was struck by a truck and knocked to the side of the road. The driver of the truck and other witnesses immediately stopped to help.

Police say the cyclist sustained trauma to head and body and was transported via ambulance to a local hospital. That person’s condition was not immediately available.
