Relatives Find Man Dead Overnight In His NW OKC Home

Police are investigating after a man was found dead in his home by family members overnight in northwest Oklahoma City.

According to Lt. Michelle Holland with the Oklahoma City police, officers were patrolling the area of 11th and Penn, when a man flagged them down and said he and another family member had discovered their relative had been shot.

Lt. Holland said officers went to the residence in the 1000 block of N. Kentucky Avenue and found a black male dead on his couch from a gunshot wound.

“We don’t have any reason to think it’s a suicide,” said Lt. Holland. “It’s a black male with wounds to indicate that there was some foul play.”

There are no suspects at this time.
