Yukon Celebrates Annual Spirit Sprint 5K Run

The City of Yukon plans to celebrate the 4th Annual Spirit Sprint 5K Run and Spirit Stroll Fun Walk on August 23 at the Kay Wright Chisholm Trail Park, 500 W. Vandament.

Sponsored by Yukon Friends of the Park, the Spirit Sprint 5K Run and the Spirit Stroll Fun Walk benefit special needs recreation in Yukon, including the Yukon Spirit League and the award winning Freedom Trail Playground.

The cost to participate in the 5K run is $25, and the price for the Fun Walk is $20. On-site registration adds $5 to the cost. Both events will begin at 8 a.m.

Registered participants will receive a Spirit Sprint t-shirt and post-event refreshments.

The Spirit League is a multi-sport athletic league for all individuals of all ages. The league consists of baseball, bowling, soccer, basketball and kayaking.
