USGS Reports 3.0 Magnitude Earthquake In Noble County

The United States Geological Survey reported a 3.0 magnitude earthquake Sunday morning in Noble County.

The United States Geological Survey reported a 3.0 magnitude earthquake Sunday morning in Noble County.

The earthquake was reported at 8:43 a.m. Sunday, two miles east, southeast of Perry and 14 miles northwest of Stillwater. The depth was over one foot.

There are no reports of major injury or damage at this time.

According to the USGS, earthquakes with magnitudes ranging from 2.5 to 3.0 are generally the smallest ones felt by humans. Damage is more likely from quakes at a 4.0 magnitude and higher.
