OKC Woman Arrested On Child Neglect And Public Drunkenness Charges

Police arrest a 38-year-old mother after she reportedly left her children in the parking lot of a bar for nearly three hours. Officers said the father of the 17-year-old and 10-year-old children called after hearing his kids had been in the car while their mother reportedly drank inside the business. 

The father told police he was out of town working at the time of the incident. 

Oklahoma City Police report Elana Anquoe smelled of alcohol and could barely stand when officers contacted her outside of Castle bar. Officers said Anquoe had reportedly been drinking before driving her children to the business. 

Police arrested Anquoe and contacted the Department of Human Services. Medical crews treated Anquoe for a head injury. She told police she didn't know how she got the injury. 

After medical crews cleared her from treatment, she was booked into the Oklahoma County Jail on two charges of child neglect and public drunkenness.
