It is warm and windy this morning with 70s and 80s out the door on your way to work and school.
A cool front is in the state and should make its way into the metro by noon. But we may heat up to near 90 degrees first.
Winds are southerly 10-20 this morning. But once the front arrives, winds will go northerly and temps will slowly fall back into the 80s and give us an opportunity for showers and thunderstorms.
The best areas for storms will be south central and southeast Oklahoma late afternoon, tonight and possibly overnight.
The temperatures today again will go to 90 by noon … mid 80s by sunset and into the 60s overnight. This is the first of two fronts to impact our weather and by the weekend we may have overnight lows in the upper 40s.
Autumn will arrive soon and the state fair starts tomorrow. So for those of you who can't remember, this usually means cooler and wetter weather. Stay tuned to News 9 for all your weather needs.
