OKC Teen Accused Of Second-Degree Rape Of 12-Year-Old Girl

An Oklahoma City teenager was arrested for second-degree rape after engaging in sexual activity with a 12-year-old girl.

Oklahoma City Police arrested the 16-year-old boy on Monday after meeting with the girl and her mother. The mom told police her daughter began complaining late Sunday night that her vagina hurt and had bumps on it. When the mom asked if she had sex, the girl told her ‘yes.'

The girl and mom went to a local hospital where it was discovered that the girl had contracted herpes. When police interviewed the girl, she said she was at a family reunion at her cousin's house on Aug. 31. She said around 9 p.m. that night she and the suspect “began talking about sex.”

The girl told police that during the conversation the teen boy began rubbing her leg and then the two had sex. Police asked the girl if the boy pressured to have sex and she said “no”. She told police that the two had sex twice on the couch that night and that he did not use a condom. She also told police that she had never had sex before.

The girl told police her mom picked her up the next night and that she had not talked with the boy since then.

The teenage boy was arrested later on Monday for the charge of second-degree rape. Because the suspect is a minor, his name has been withheld. No other information has been released at this time.
