The Oklahoma City Police Department (OCPD) announced an opportunity to donate to a non-profit providing stab and bullet protective vests in honor of Kye, the K9 officer who recently died in the line of duty.

OCPD posted a link to an IndieGoGo account, allowing anyone to donate to Vested Interest in K9's, a non-profit raising money to help police departments across the country protect their K9 officers.

OCPD's Kye was stabbed multiple times by a man who ran from police and died the next day following emergency surgery.
