School Officials: Bus Accidentally Runs Over Student's Leg In Bethany

Emergency crews responded to an incident at Western Oaks Elementary Monday afternoon involving a student and a school bus.

A seventh grade male student and his friend were running to the bus located at the curb at 2:35 p.m. School gets out at 2:30 p.m.

The student reportedly tripped and fell and the bus accidentally ran over the student's leg, according to school officials.

The student was transported by EMSA from the scene. His condition is unknown.

The school is on the 7200 block of NW 23rd Street in Bethany.
