Oklahoma City police arrested a man who is accused of beating his wife in front of their children, and assaulting two officers as they tried to take him into custody.

According to police, just before 10 p.m. Wednesday, officers responded to the report of a domestic abuse at a home in the 3200 block of S.W. 46th Street. A woman told police that she was asleep in bed when her husband, 34-year-old Michael Leon Houston Jr., began yelling at her, complaining about the dinner she had cooked.

Houston reportedly grabbed the victim by her hair and pulled her out of bed. Police said he then began punching the victim.

The victim was able to call 911. While on the phone, police said Houston began shoving the victim around and attempted to shove her though a window.

According to police, the couple's three children witnessed the entire incident.

Two officers arrived at the scene and attempted to arrest Houston. However, police said he bit one officer's hand. He then tried to punch the officer and attempted to place him in a headlock.

Officers were able to take Houston into custody. He has been booked into the Oklahoma County Jail on charges of domestic abuse in presence of a child, interference with emergency phone call, and assault and battery on a police officer.
