An Oklahoma City man was arrested after police said he assaulted his roommate's boyfriend.
According to police, at about 9 p.m. Monday, officers responded to the report of an assault at an apartment complex near S.W. 25th and Broadway Avenue in Oklahoma City.
When officers arrived, they found a victim lying face down on the porch of the apartment complex with blood around him on the ground.
The victim's girlfriend told police that her roommate, 36-year-old Tony Ray Walters, came home and became angry when he saw the victim. Walters reportedly told the victim to leave.
The victim said he got up to leave because he didn't want to cause any issues. That's when Walters grabbed a knife, yelled “something about Obama and charged at the victim.”
According to the police report, Walters tried to push the victim down the stairs. He then struck the victim multiple times in the head with the knife.
Walters was arrested and booked into the Oklahoma County Jail on charges of assault and battery with a deadly weapon, and assault with a deadly weapon.
