A teenager escaped from jail, not just once, but twice, and it was not even the same jail. Authorities said the suspect is only 17-years-old, and is on the run.

Police got a call after the teen was being very violent. They said he was assaulting the mother of his child and smashing televisions before they arrived and eventually took him into custody, but not for long.

“He is interesting,” Chickasha Police Department Interim Chief Shannon Mcclain said.

Authorities said he is also a juvenile. News 9 couldn't show you what he looks like, but the little information that was not blacked out on the arrest report still painted a pretty colorful story.

“He had previously escaped, and there had been a warrant for his arrest for that,” Mcclain said.

The report stated the suspect "barricaded the front door," and there was "a ladder that was sitting under an attic access." It turned out, the 17-year-old suspect was "hiding in the crawl space."

“After we arrested him, he was transported to a juvenile facility and subsequently escaped again,” Mcclain said.

He had escaped not once, but now twice. The first was from Canadian County, and the second happened when he arrived from Grady County to a juvenile facility in Comanche County.

“In this instance he taken by that transport deputy and he would've been taken away in irons. Leg irons. Handcuffs,” Mcclain said.

However, police said once there, he got loose and then made a run for it.

“He's been successful twice now,” Mcclain said.

Edward Carter is now facing additional charges. Authorities said his most recent escape is a felony.
