The Oklahoma District Attorney's office officially filed first-degree murder charges against an Oklahoma City man who claimed he had accidentally shot his wife during a home invasion in November.
Authorities arrested 33-year-old Kinney Glasson after evidence and other inconsistencies came to light, as well as information about an affair Glasson was having with another woman.
It all started in the early morning hours on Nov. 19. A police affidavit stated that at 3:10 a.m. on that date, officers responded to a shooting at a home in the 8700 block of N.W. 80th Street. When they arrived, Glasson told officers that he and his wife, 41-year-old Erin Glasson, were sleeping in bed when he awoke to an unknown male in his bedroom.

Glasson said he grabbed his pistol from under his mattress and pointed it at the alleged intruder. But he said the intruder pushed his arm down, causing the pistol to fire at the direction of his wife.
Erin Glasson was struck by a bullet from Kinney Glasson's pistol. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Kinney Glasson is currently being held in the Oklahoma County Jail. A bond has not been set.
