Alert neighbors busted two people suspected in a burglary ring a few miles south of Tecumseh. The Pottawatomie Sheriff's Office said a homeowner on Old Highway 18 called authorities after a man and woman pulled into his driveway in a Chevy pickup.
The homeowner said the suspects claimed they were looking to do concrete work, even though he said it's too cold to pour concrete right now. The man took down the tag number of the truck and called the sheriff's office. That information led to the arrests of 33-year-old Jonathan Treat and 34-year-old Rosi Sky.
“He used his wits about him and that's what we need, people to call in and tell us when they see something out of the ordinary,” said Undersheriff Travis Palmer.
Palmer said a deputy caught the two suspects a short-time later loading stolen goods from one of the original caller's neighbor's homes.
