Several roads will be closed in Edmond, Oklahoma, as crews begin railroad repairs at a number of crossings within the city limits.
According Edmond City officials, beginning Thursday, February 26, Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) Railroad will begin minor rail repairs at several railroad crossings in the Edmond City Limits.
This work will require the closing of each road during the repair process. Traffic will be unable to pass in both directions and motorists will need to determine an alternate route.
The list of closures includes:
- 33rd Street Railroad Crossing will be closed from Thursday, February 26 at 7 p.m. through Friday, February 27 at 7 p.m.
- Sorghum Mill Road Railroad Crossing will be closed from Monday, March 2 at 6 p.m. through Tuesday, March 3 at 6 p.m.
- Coffee Creek Road Railroad Crossing closure is yet to be determined and will likely take three to four days. An update will be sent once this work is scheduled.
The time frames listed above are estimates and subject to change, especially in the case of inclement weather, officials said.
