Police Arrest 2 Suspects, Seek One More In SW OKC Homicide

Police have arrested two suspects and are looking for one more in connection to a man's shooting death in southwest Oklahoma City.

According to Oklahoma City police, just before 4 p.m. Thursday, officers responded to the report of a shooting at a home in the 3400 block of S.W. 22nd. Officers arrived and found two shooting victims, 41-year-old Jerry Jamison and 22-year-old David Lee Cox. Both were transported to an area hospital, where Jamison was pronounced dead.

Police said Cox is also a suspect in this case. He remains in the hospital Friday morning and is considered under arrest.

The other suspect, 21-year-old Russell Ermeling, fled the scene following the shooting. Police said Ermeling later turned himself into the Tecumseh Police Department. He has been booked into the Oklahoma County jail on one count of first-degree murder.

According to police, investigators learned that Jamison was at his home with his kids when Cox knocked on the door and was allowed into the home. Cox was followed in by Ermeling, who then pulled out a pistol.

Both suspects demanded money. At some point during the robbery, Jamison and Cox were both shot.

Jamison's death is Oklahoma City's 10th homicide of 2015, according to police.
