Tornado Touches Down In Custer County

A confirmed tornado touched down in a rural area just to the east of the town of Weatherford, Okla., in Custer County, and headed toward Hydro late Tuesday evening.

A confirmed tornado touched down in a rural area just to the east of the town of Weatherford, Okla., in Custer County, and headed toward Hydro late Tuesday evening.

The severe tornado-producing burst popped up almost out of nowhere around 6:30 p.m., from a storm that had barely produced a drizzle just a half an hour before the tornado emerged.

There were also reports of hail the size of golf balls. So far there have been no reports of damage. 

A Tornado Warning was issued for Blaine, Caddo and Custer Counties until 7 p.m.
