Police are looking for two suspects in connection to an auto burglary in southwest Oklahoma City.
According to police, at about 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 8, officers responded to the report of an auto burglary in the 11000 block of S.W. 38th Street. The victim said two male suspects stole multiple items from his pickup truck, including an F350 emblem, welding torches, and three extension cords.
Police obtained surveillance footage of the incident, and learned that at about 3:20 a.m., a 4-door, silver car pulled in front of the victim’s house. One suspect got out of the car and started taking welding torches out of the victim’s pickup.
According to police, the suspect then tried to pry the front right F350 emblem off of the truck, but failed. He then moved on to the left side and successfully pried the emblem off of that side of the truck.
As that suspect returned to his car, a second suspect got out and walked up to a trailer next to the victim’s truck. He stole three extension cords out of it and returned to the car. Both suspects then drove away from the scene.
Police released that surveillance video on Monday, July 13. If you have any information, call Crime Stoppers at (405)-235-7300.
