OKC Police: Taxi Driver Robbed At Gunpoint

A cab driver was robbed at gunpoint early Thursday morning in southwest Oklahoma City, and one suspect is still on the run.

According to police, the cab driver went to the Hillcrest Residence Apartments near S.W. 59th and Blackwelder to drop off a man. When they arrived, another man walked up to the cab and robbed the driver with a gun.

Both the suspect and the passenger ran away from the scene following the robbery. The cab driver then drove to a nearby Whataburger to call police.

Police have one suspect in custody. The driver was not injured.
