No matter when you arrive you can count on one thing in Orlando, the dreaded humidity. By the time I made it to my rental car I was ready to jump into the swimming pool at my downtown hotel. Did I bring my suit? Are boxers okay?
As my Thunder journey's continue I have a feeling I will get to know the Southwest terminal at Houston Hobby airport very well. Disney vacation two summers ago, OU vs. Alabama (Sugar Bowl), OU vs. Clemson in the Russell Athletic Bowl and Thursday are my latest stops in the same location at Hobby
I threw down some Buffalo Wild Wings at the terminal while waiting on my connection to Orlando. The same Buffalo Wild Wings where I watched OSU lose to Missouri in the Cotton Bowl a few years ago. I didn't get back to OKC until 3:00 a.m. that long day, let's hope that never happens again.
Great flight from OKC to Houston until --, I was all set for water or orange juice for my in-flight selection. The flight attendant asked for my choice right when we hit some turbulence, my choice quickly changed to a Bud Light (just one, HONEST), as I mentioned in a previous blog I don't sit too well with the bumps.
I'm starting to respect even more what the Thunder players and staff endure through a season of travel and we've only just begun. Should be a great ride.
A reminder we'll have a live report from the Amway center starting at 5:00 p.m. Friday, plus a post-game report at 10:00. Thunder Up!
P.S. This is my second trip in a row to Orlando where there is no Mickey or Universal Studios, not even the big whale at Sea World, I need to work on that.
