An 8-year-old Mustang boy celebrated his birthday this year in a unique way.
Holden Emillio recently celebrated his 8th birthday. He encouraged his friends to donate money instead of gifts. By the time his birthday was over, Emillio collected a little over $100.
Emillio took the time to research which charity he wanted to donate the money to. In the end, he picked the American Red Cross.
The Red Cross said that money will provide 20 blankets for families left in the cold after house fires this winter.
Emillio said he wants to be a volunteer and wants to help bring the Red Cross' preparedness training to his school.
