Facebook can be a fun place to be social, until scam artists come after you.

There are three new scams that you need to "block." We talk about scams all the time, but these are a little different.

The first one is known as the "Secret Sisters" gift scam. Victims are sent a message saying they can buy a $10 holiday gift, send it to one person, and get 36 gifts back. Remember, if it sounds too good to be true, it is.

Next, watch out for the lottery scam. This one often comes from a hacker posing as your friend saying you've won $30,000. Before you try and cash in, call or message the friend who sent it.

Chances are they had no idea hackers got into their account and started sending messages.

Finally, scam artists are going after those who are dying for a vacation. Someone posing as "British Airways" is offering free flights for a year if you share a photo on your news feed, like their page, and write a comment.

Heads up, most companies do not run contests on Facebook. You can also check their page to see if their legit. Almost all company page's will have a blue "verified" check mark by their name.
