If you have done your shopping and sealed those cards, and have to go to the post office, you have to do it now.

You know there will be lines too. People could run of time to send gifts to make it before Christmas.

The U.S. Postal Service encourages people to get gifts, letters and anything else to them early. Because if you've waited, you are almost out of time.

If you want your gift to arrive by December 24, the deadline for mailing first class is Saturday. Things like cards and small packages weighing less than thirteen ounces have to be shipped. Priority mail, which includes packages, must be at the Post Office by Monday.

The last postal service shipping date is on the 23rd for Priority Mail Express.

If you're waiting to receive packages, the Postal Service says Monday will be the busiest day.

Friday is free shipping day for almost 1,000 retailers. But beware, due to Cyber Monday, some packages may arrive late.

Be sure you really look at the delivery system because the last day for standard shipping by the USPS was on the 15th. Also if you don't receive your package by Christmas, you can ask for your money back from the retailer.
