A video shows a vehicle that barreled into a police cruiser at a routine traffic stop Friday night.
News 9 spoke with the woman who was pulled over and who shot the video.
The viewer who took the video didn't want to go on camera but said she and her daughter are still shaken after the accident that nearly took the life of an officer.
A Norman police officer pulled over the driver of an SUV for having a broken taillight, and then things took a potentially deadly turn.
Another car slammed into the back of the officer's cruiser, narrowly missing him, and causing serious damage on all three vehicles. The woman who took the video said the driver of the black car was driving drunk, but News 9 could not confirm that with police Saturday evening.
The woman and her daughter were taken to a nearby hospital but they are both fine. As for the officer and the other driver, News 9 wasn't able to get an update on their conditions Saturday.
The woman said she's thankful she was able to avoid tragedy this weekend with Christmas just around the corner.
