The father of OU Children’s first baby of 2016 predicts his newborn son will play football for the Oklahoma Sooners one day.
Bryson Montgomery Roberts was born at 12:19 Friday morning. His mother Heather Nunley went into labor Thursday night shortly after Nunley’s fiancé, John Roberts, left for work in the town of Maysville. Nunley’s father and stepmother drove her to OU Children’s around 8 p.m. Thursday, where Bryson Roberts was born by cesarean section four hours later.
The child was born a month premature, but his dad says he will be fine. “He’s uh he’s gonna be a ballplayer…Yeah he’s got some mitts on him, he’s got some mitts!” he said.
