Apple now wants us to be unplugged from our devices, so we can be more plugged-in. The tech giant's plan -- wireless charging.
Just about everyone and their mother, brother, aunt and uncle is charged up for this one. Even our co-workers are excited.
We took a picture of Bobbie Miller when she crouched nearly under her desk, just to charge her iPad. We can relate, you're battery is dying and your cord isn't long enough to reach your work space. So now we have hope.
Market research firms have said Apple could be developing wireless charging technology. It's also predicted that Apple could make an official announcement in September, and release the technology in 2017.
Bloomberg report the technology would even do away with charging pads, and allow devices to be charged from a farther distance away.
Apple is said to be working with partners in the U.S. and Asia to develop the new charging system. But an Apple spokesperson declined to comment to Bloomberg.
