There’s been a decided trend over the past two decades, and that is more and more football fans are forgoing going out to watch the Super Bowl, and are staying in to throw a Super Bowl party.
Eric Walker is general manager of the busiest Hideaway Pizza in the metro area.
He said he has about 80 employees, and on Sunday it will be all hands on deck.
“If you’re gonna put an order in, I’d put it in early,” he said.
Hideaway corporate told News 9 they take double the number of take out orders on Super Bowl Sunday than they do on any other Sunday of the year.
Over at the Best Buy near Quail Springs, assistant sales manager Walter Holland said they have a big screen sale going on.
“Home theater is one of the biggest markets going right now,” he said.
