OKC Police Investigate Woman's Suspicious Death

Oklahoma City police are investigating the suspicious death of a woman, who was found dead on the 1400 block of N.W. 6th early Wednesday morning.

The call to police came around 3:35 a.m. from a person who police said is “familiar with” the woman. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said she appears to have been assaulted but the injuries are not likely the cause of her death.

According to Lt. Alan Burgett, there are no suspects or witnesses. The Medical Examiner will determine a cause of death.

Police closed Douglas between Linwood Diagonal and N.W. 6th Street during their investigation.
