Oklahoma City police are looking for a woman who is accused of trying to steal merchandise from Von Maur at Quail Springs Mall, and threatening a security guard with a knife when she was confronted.
According to police, on Thursday, March 10, officers responded to the incident at Von Maur, located at 2501 W. Memorial. A security guard told police he was watching surveillance video when he saw a woman take merchandise out of the store without paying.
The security guard said he caught up with the suspect and confronted her in the parking lot. That’s when the suspect pulled out a knife and swung it at him, saying, “Stay back. I will cut you.”
The security guard said he was able to retrieve the stolen merchandise, but the suspect got in a black, new body style Camaro with a paper tag and drove away.
The security guard said he thought the paper tag had “022748” on it and that its issue date was February 9, 2016.
On Thursday, March 17, police released a surveillance photo taken of the suspect. If you recognize this woman, or have any information, call Crime Stoppers at (405)-235-7300, or leave a tip online. You can remain anonymous and may earn a cash reward.
