The Oklahoma City Public Schools Board of Education is working on an agreement to part ways with Superintendent Rob Neu.
According to a press release issued by the board, a “separation agreement” is in the works and will be discussed at the board meeting Monday evening. Neu was stripped of his responsibilities after a five-our executive session on Thursday, April 14.
After that meeting, board members said Neu would be “out of office” and handed over his duties to Assistant Superintendent Aurora Lora.
Board Chairperson for OKCPS Lynne Hardin released the following statement regarding the decision:
“The Oklahoma City Public Schools Board of Education will be discussing a separation agreement for Rob Neu, superintendent and Aurora Lora’s assumption of Mr. Neu’s duties during the regularly scheduled board meeting at 5:30 p.m. Monday, April 25. We are unable to provide any additional information at this time since these are personnel issues.”
