Man Dies In Car Accident Near Waukomis

A man is dead after he lost control of his vehicle just outside of Waukomis early Monday morning.

Joe Irons, 69, veered off of Flynn Rd less than a mile east of Waukomis around 1 a.m. Irons attempted to steer his 1999 Chevy Suburban back on to the wet road, but the vehicle ended up leaving the road in a broadslide.

The vehicle rolled one time and ejected Irons approximately 24 feet. Irons was not wearing a seatbelt.
