The Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma needs volunteers for the summer to pack fresh meals for kids, bag and box products, and sort donations.

The food bank is asking the community to donate their time to help over the summer.  Summer Feeding volunteers are needed to help make sure children will receive adequate nutrition during the summer months when school meals are not provided.

Volunteer shifts are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m.  If you would like to volunteer you must be at least 12 years old.  Both groups and individuals are welcome.  The food bank needs at least 25 volunteers per shift.

“The Summer Feeding Program depends on a strong base of volunteers to help assemble the meals in our Hope’s Kitchen,” said Rodney Bivens, executive director of the Regional Food Bank. “

If you are interested in donating or volunteering, call 405-600-3160.
