Autopsy Report Details Aubrey McClendon Cause, Manner Of Death

An autopsy report released on Wednesday details the cause and manner of death for former CEO and co-founder of Chesapeake Energy Corp, Aubrey McClendon.

According to the Medical Examiner's office, McClendon, 56, died of multiple blunt force trauma due to motor vehicle collision.  The manner of death is accident. 

McClendon died after the SUV he was driving crashed into a bridge on N. Midwest Blvd., between E. Memorial Rd. and NE 122nd. St. in Oklahoma City. 

The police investigation into Aubrey McClendon's death has ended with nothing found to lead investigators to think it was anything other than a tragic accident, a police spokesman said Tuesday afternoon.
