Oklahoma City police are looking for two suspects who assaulted and robbed a taxi driver with a knife early Saturday morning.

According to police, at about 3:30 a.m. officers responded to the report of an armed robbery in the 2200 block of N.W. 122nd Street. When they arrived, they spoke with a taxi driver who had just been robbed at knifepoint.

The victim told police he picked up two female customers from Baptist Hospital and took them to the Raindance Apartments, located at 2201 N.W. 122nd Street. However, the two attempted to get out of the vehicle without paying.

When the victim tried to stop them, one suspect told him she only had $4. That suspect reportedly reached around the seat, held a knife to the driver’s throat and demanded all of his money. The victim said he bit that suspect’s hand and pulled her arm with the knife away from his throat, causing the knife to cut him behind his right ear.

Meanwhile, the other suspect punched the victim in the mouth and took some cash he had in the driver’s door panel, according to the police report.

The two suspects managed to get out of the car and run away from the scene.

Monday afternoon, police released surveillance footage of the suspects from the hospital. If you recognize them or have any information, call Crime Stoppers at (405)-235-7300. Callers can remain anonymous and may earn a cash reward.
