Fresh off playing one of the hardest non-conference schedules last season before making a trip to the Final Four, the OU Men's basketball team is set for another tough slate of games this season.
The non-conference schedule was released earlier in the week and can be seen here, but highlighting the group is a December 21 matchup with Auburn. Not only will the Sooners be taking on Bruce Pearl's improving Tigers, but they'll do so on the 125th anniversary of when the sport of basketball was invented.

It will be the first meeting between the two schools since the NCAA Tournament in 1988, where the Sooners won the game and went on to finish as National runners-up. Oklahoma and Auburn met one other time in their history back in 1978, where the Tigers picked up the win in the Big Sun Tournament.
