It may have been a surprising move for Ibaka, but it was a deal the Thunder couldn't turn down seeing OKC received valuable pieces such as Victor Oladipo, Ersan Ilyasova and Domantas Sabonis in return. It also creates a unique opportunity for the Congo native, as he'll have a bigger role with the Magic and will be looked to carry a heavier load on offense.
While Ibaka was posting a farewell note, Oladipo expressed his excitement to be joining the Thunder organization.
